Suzanne Sieber

President

After working in the elevator industry for 21 years with Otis Elevator Company, Suzanne established Elevator Management Services in 2007. Suzanne has extensive technical elevator training through academic and field work. A certified Qualified Elevator Inspector, Suzanne also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University. In 2018, Governor Tom Wolfe appointed Suzanne to the newly created Pennsylvania Elevator Safety Board. The Board arbitrates variance requests and is developing a new elevator code for Pennsylvania.

She has a wealth of experience assessing elevator maintenance and writing modernization specifications, having negotiated and managed hundreds of elevator contracts.

Mike Mellon

Elevator Inspector

Michael J. Mellon Jr. received a BBA in Insurance and Risk Management from Temple University in 1975. He started his career in the elevator industry in 1980, working for the IUEC Local 5 as a helper and then a mechanic, working in all aspects of the industry. This included construction, service, modernization, and maintenance. In July 1992, he was appointed Director of the Elevator Division (AHJ) for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and held that position for 24 years before retiring in June 2016. Immediately following his retirement from the state, he began working for Otis Elevator Company as a Manager in Codes Compliance covering North America from July 2016 through February 2021. Mike currently serves on several ASME code compliance committees: Inspections, QEI, MRR, Existing Elevator, SMTG, and the recently formed safety committee. He also works for Elevator Management Services as an Inspector/Consultant and was recently hired by NAESA as an instructor teaching code update classes.

Richard Sieber

Executive Director

For over 35 years, Richard has served in a leadership capacity in communications and marketing for organizations such as Duquesne Light and St. Clair Hospital. He joined EMS in 2020, where he manages the company’s day-to-day business operations. He obtained his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Ralph Green

Elevator Inspector

Ralph joined EMS in 2013 and is one of our most tenured inspectors. Possessing an in-depth knowledge of all types of elevators and facilities, Ralph often specializes in working at some of the largest high-rises in the EMS customer portfolio. A Certified QEI Elevator Inspector, he has more than 45 years of experience. Before working at EMS, Ralph worked as a Service Mechanic for both Otis and Schindler Elevator companies.

Maureen Watson

Account Manager

Maureen is responsible for onboarding new clients, and she is often the initial client link to EMS. As Account Manager, she is also responsible for managing the schedule of required elevator inspections. In addition, she serves as the liaison between EMS and property managers, coordinating state-required elevator safety tests. A member of the EMS team since 2018, Maureen possesses over 20 years of account management experience working extensively with organizations, primarily in the banking and human resources industries. Maureen is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Business.

John Sieber

Elevator Inspector

John Sieber is a Certified QEI Elevator Inspector. His most recent role has focused on conducting an in-depth inventory analysis of existing elevators for a national bank with locations across the country. John is also a student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to attending Law school, John received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Allegheny College.

Carly Green

Business Services Coordinator

One of Carly’s primary roles is working with elevator maintenance providers to gather data on a project’s status. The information is formulated into customer progress reports to help ensure the flow of information is timely and accurate. A multi-generational family member in the industry, she joins a wide network of family members deeply rooted in the elevator business. Carly received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Carlow University before joining EMS.

A Certified QEI Elevator Inspector, Steve worked as a Service Mechanic for Otis and Schindler Elevator. With more than 45 years of experience, Steve Green has extensive industry knowledge of the mechanical operations of elevators and escalators.
