ACCOUNT MANAGER

POSITION: ACCOUNT MANAGER

LOCATION: PITTSBURGH, PA

 

SUMMARY

Role serves as a liaison between Elevator Management Services and their clients.  Essential functions include: addressing customers’ needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible; schedule elevator inspections and tests with property managers and elevator maintenance providers; maintain daily schedules of elevator inspectors; analyzing data, organizing and maintaining information; preparing reports; scheduling meetings and providing general office support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Account management experience with business customers.
  • Experience with schedule management.
  • Ability to professionally interact with clients, building managers, vendors, elevator mechanics and elevator inspectors.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent time management, deadline orientation, effective communication, attention to details skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field preferred. Prior experience will compensate for educational degree.
  • 1-3 years related experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate communication between Elevator Management Service and the client.
  • Schedule elevator inspections and tests with property managers and elevator maintenance companies.
  • Provide elevator inspectors with weekly/monthly work schedules.
  • Proactively solve problems with scheduling issues with clients and field personnel.
  • Manage customer data listing of required elevator inspection and test dates.
  • Research and collect data for monthly reports and compile background material, tabulate data, prepare summaries for meetings; develop agendas, and schedules.
  • Maintain and improve client retention rates through active communication and problem-solving efforts.
  • Follow up on commitments made by elevator maintenance companies.
  • Coordinate sub-contractor inspections.
  • Gather data for elevator consulting billing.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee daily office activities.
  • Oversee work unit files, records, databases, and reports
  • Answer phones.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Standard work hours 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. M-F
  • Office is located in the historic Frick Building in downtown Pittsburgh.
  • Occasional meetings outside of the office.
  • Requires occasional bending, lifting, reaching, walking, and standing; and constant sitting and use of manual dexterity.
